Kennistan Bauman earned his M.M. degree at Central Michigan University and has pursued graduate studies at Michigan State University. For twenty five years he was Professor of Music at Spring Arbor College and has served as Chairman of both the Music Department and the Humanities Division for many years. As a performer Mr. Bauman plays the flugelhorn with the Brass Band of Battle Creek , one of America's premier brass bands. He has also performed as principal trumpet with the Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra. He has recently completed ten seasons as Conductor and Music Director of the Grand Rapids Symphonic Band.
