Wesley Broadnax

Wesley Broadnax is Assistant Professor of Music, Assistant Director of Bands at Michigan State University, and Director of the New Music Ensemble (Musique 21). He received a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music in Wind Conducting from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Music Education from Stephen F. Austin University. Dr. Broadnax has taught in the Texas public schools and at Stephen F. Austin University. He is Bass Trombonist with the West Shore Symphony Orchestra (Muskegon), the WSSO Brass Trio, and also performs with the Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Midland, and Jackson (Michigan) orchestras, as well as appearing as a frequent guest conductor and clinician and adjudicator in the state of Michigan and throughout the Midwest. He is a member of the College Band Directors National Association, the Midwest Band and Orchestra Association, the Texas Music Educators Association, the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association, and the International Trombone Association.
