Karen Roll-Gardener has earned a Master of Music degree in saxophone performance and is now a candidate for for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Michigan State University. As the recipient of a 1997 MSU SCRAM fellowship, she spent seven weeks in Paris, France studying with saxophonist Jean-Yves Fourmeau and composer Lucie Robert. She recently performed at the the XI World Saxophone Congress in Valencia, Spain.
