Andrew Siegel
A Michigan State University Distinguished Fellow,
Andrew Seigel is a doctoral candidate studying with Elsa
Ludewig-Verdehr. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from
California State University, Fresno, where he studied with Miles
Ishigaki. In 1992, Andrew was one of 12 semi-finalists in the
International Clarinet Association's Young Artist Competition. He has
continued to compete, winning various musical scholarships and
qualifying as a finalist in the Carmel and Coleman International
Chamber Music Festivals in 1994 and 1995. In 1997, Andrew won a
Fulbright Grant to study at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in
Budapest, Hungary. He has performed solo and chamber recitals in
Hungary, Germany, and Romania.
