James Niblock,
Soliloquy and Dance was one of the compositions selected for
representation at the North Central Division of the College Band
Directors National Association at its 1956 convention. The sonorous
opening section portrays the tranquillity of one's reflections upon
himself while the dance reflects a sense of satisfaction, stately
and exhilarating.
