Thornapple Wind Band

The Thornapple Wind Band, named for its location in the Thornapple River Valley of Barry County, is comprised of members primarily from Barry and Ionia Counties. Rehearsals and performances occur in the Hastings and Lakewood High Schools on an alternating basis. The ensemble, which is in its second year, was established to give adults an avenue to pursue the performance of quality wind and percussion literature,

The band is co-directed by Associate Directors Joseph LaJoye and David Macqueen, and has been established as a non-profit organization with a steering committee made up of several members of the ensemble.

The entire membership of the Thornapple Wind Band is very excited to make its first appearance at the Red Cedar Festival.
