North Oakland Concert Band

The North Oakland Concert Band was formerly known as the Orion-Oxford Concert Band. In the fall of 1996, the Rochester Community Band joined our group and with much pride and excitement we renamed our ensemble the North Oakland Concert Band.

Composed of community members from all over the metro area and professions (from engineers to homemakers to students), the band performs at least seven concerts a year. Besides playing in area schools, the schedule includes a Christmas concert, the graduation at the Lake Orion Community Adult Ed., Rochester Heritage Festival, and the kickoff event of the Orion Summer Park Concert Series.
