Daniel Mattson is currently pursuing his M.M. degrees in both trombone performance and wind conducting at Michigan State University and is a member of many outstanding musical organizations including the Brass Band of Battle Creek, the Detroit Chamber Winds, Beaumont Brass Quintet, M.S.U. Faculty Quintet, Lansing Symphony, Midland Symphony Orchestra, and the M.S.U. Orchestra and Wind Symphony. He has performed as a soloist with the M.S.U. Orchestra and the Kalamazoo Concert Band. Daniel was the 1995 first prize winner of the nationally acclaimed Richardson Brass Competition sponsored by the Lansing Matinee Musicale.
