Georgia Styka is the new drama director at Okemos High School where she also teaches. Prior to moving to the high school, she taught and directed plays at the district's Kinawa Middle School. A versatile vocalist, Mrs. Styka has sung in choirs since she was a young child. She also has a strong background in musical and dramatic arts, appearing in community productions with the Lansing Civic Players and Spotlight, Riverwalk and Eaton Rapids theaters. In both 1992 and 1996, Mrs. Styka earned the Best Supporting Actress Awards from the Lansing State Journal.
