Austin Kuo is a lifelong resident of East Lansing and is currently a senior at East Lansing High School. He has studied violin since age four and is currently a student of Lyman Bodman, Professor Emeritus of the Michigan State University School of Music. Austin serves as the concertmaster of the East Lansing High Schol Orchestra conducted by Dorothy MacDonald.

Austin is the youngest of three sons of Wen-How and Oi-Chin Kuo and, upon graduation, plans to pursue a course of study in pre-medicine at Michigan State University.
