Osiris J. Molina
Osiris J. Molina, a native of New Jersey, is currently in his second year of doctoral study at Michigan State University as Graduate Assistant to Dr. Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr. As a freelance clarinetist he has performed with many Mid-Michigan orchestras including the Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Greater Lansing symphony orchestras. In 2004 Mr. Molina performed Joan Tower's Fantasy for clarinet and piano for the composer at the Fifth Contemporary Clarinet Festival at Michigan State University, and performed excerpts of John Adams' Gnarly Buttons with the MSU's Musique 21 Ensemble. Mr. Molina holds degrees from Rutgers University and the Yale School of Music, where he studied with Dr. William Berz, Charles Neidich, Ayako Oshima, and David Shifrin. He is currently Second Clarinetist with the West Shore Symphony in Muskegon, and Instructor of Clarinet at Spring Arbor University and Albion College.
