Sarah Thelen, oboist, will graduate in May as valedictorian of the Class of 2002 at Lansing Catholic Central High School. Sarah began her musical career in the 5th grade as a French hornist at St. Gerard School, then changed to the oboe in the 6th grade and life was never the same after that. Sarah has participated in the Michigan Youth Orchestra, Interlochen Arts Camp, John Mack Camp, Blue Lake International Band, and the Michigan Youth Arts Festival. Sarah plans to study music as an oboe performance major at Indiana University.
